Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Nugumi (the "bot") stores about you, why, and how to delete it. In short: we keep what the game and the server tools need to work, we never sell it, and you can delete your town at any time with /deletemydata.

What we store

When you play the game

• Your Discord user ID and username.
• Your town: everything you build and earn, the town name you choose, and when you last played.
• The IDs of the servers you've played in (for server leaderboards and Server Projects).
• If you help a server's Server Project: your name and the points you gave, on that server's helper list.

When a server uses the moderation tools (the web panel or /admin)

• A log of what moderators do with the bot: warnings, timeouts, kicks, bans, game blocks, deleted messages, slowmode and settings changes. Each entry stores the moderator's and the member's user ID and name, the reason given, and the time.
• Game blocks: whether you're blocked from the game or your town name is hidden in a server.

When a server sets the bot up

• The server's ID, the settings its admins choose (for example which channels the game or announcements use), and its Server Project progress.

When you log in to the web panel

• Your Discord ID, username, avatar and the servers you're in (with your permissions there), from Discord's login. This is kept in memory only for your session (up to 12 hours) and is never saved to the database. A cookie keeps you logged in.

To keep the bot running

• Error logs, which can include user or server IDs.
• Anonymous counts of which commands are used (not who used them).

What we don't store: the content of your messages. The bot doesn't read message content. When a moderator deletes messages with the bot, it only looks at which messages are recent and who sent them.

Why

To run the game (your town, leaderboards, festivals, Server Projects), to give servers their settings and moderation tools, and to find and fix problems.

Who else handles it

• Discord, where the bot runs.
• Cybrancee, which hosts the bot and this website.
• MongoDB Atlas, which hosts the database.

We don't sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything else.

How long we keep it

• Your town: until you delete it with /deletemydata (or we shut the bot down).
• Moderation logs and game blocks: as long as the server uses the bot. These are the server's safety records, so /deletemydata doesn't remove them. Ask that server's moderators, or contact us below.
• Web panel logins: 12 hours at most, and only in memory.
• Error logs: only as long as we need them to fix the problem.

Your choices

• /deletemydata permanently deletes your town and removes you from Server Project helper lists. It works in any server or in a DM with the bot.
• For anything else (a copy of your data, or removing a moderation record), contact us below.

Children

You must meet Discord's minimum age (13 in most countries) to use Discord, and so to use the bot.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. Big changes will be announced in our support server.
